Question: On the Simpsons episode which first aired in 1996, what does Lisa find on the rack for her mother Marge in a outlet fashion mall?
Answer: A Pink Chanel Suit with shiny black trim for just $90. The suit changes Marge, giving her a luxurious veneer that helps her impress  the upper crusty women at the country club. She alters the outfit on her sewing machine, making several iterations, each time striving for the appearance of a brand new look. Eventually invited to a gala, she tries to rework the outfit again so it's black tie appropriate, only to accidentally shred it, just when it was fashioned into a collared halter dress, her best creation yet. Desperate, she goes for the real deal, splurging on a purple-and-black-gown from the actual Chanel store. Snappy with mounting anxiety, a stunningly dressed Marge comes to her senses when she finally has a moment of clarity, and decides to skip the event altogether saying, "I wouldn't want to join any club that would have this me as a member." A brilliant self-drag.

ART IN FASHION

Question: What is a "fashion croquis?"
Answer:
The first step to bringing a fashion designer's idea to fruition is putting it on paper. Croquis means "sketch" in French.

It is the drawing of a fashion figure/model that can be used as a template over which you can trace and draw a design or garment.

The average human is 8x the length of the head (1:8 ratio). But in fashion, the figure/model is drawn slightly elongated, stylized and exaggerated so as to highlight and showcase the clothes and accessories adorning them. So "fashion croquis" are proportioned to be "9 heads tall."
