Good question. Maybe you can help connect them with a local support group, or direct them to the resources they need, or just sit with them.

Answer:

Sexual orientation is who you're attracted to. Gender identity is who you are.

How do you know what pronouns to use with a person? 


Answer:

The only way to know is to ask.

As many as there are people.

Sex describes someone's physicality, gender is who someone inherently is.
