Question: How and why did the Egyptians track the Nile River's flood patterns?
Answer: By watching the movement of the moon and the sun they created a calendar that tracked the flood patterns.  This calendar helped they know when to plant the crops and build the irrigation systems to water them.

Question: What role did the Nile play in the developement of Egyptian civilization.
Answer: It was know as the giver of life. Without it people would not have been able to grow crops or have water to survive. It also helped transport goods.

Answer: The Egyptian woman had more rights than Sumerian women, they were even able to be scribes and hold positions of power.

Answer: Egypt became weak and was conquered by the Kushite kings.

Answer: In Nubia they had tall cliffs and granite rocks surrounding it, this caused the soil to be very rocky were in Egypt they ground was flat and the soil easy to plant and fertile.
