Wait, What was That?

Answer: Optional answers can be taken here, but basically that Dally can't tell elaborations or HYPERBOLES as well as he can ride a bull in the rodeo.

Question: "You oughtta see Kathy's brother… He's so greasy he glides when he walks." pg 101
Wait, this kid glides when he walks? What does this really mean?
Answer: Kathy's brother acted the part of being a Greaser so much, that he was deemed "so greasy".

Question: "..and from the way they were staggering I figured they were reeling pickled." pg. 50
What does reeling pickled mean?
Answer: That whoever "they" had consumed too much alcohol.

Question: ".. but we both got a little green around the gills.." pg. 74
Humans don't have gills, what could this mean?
Answer: Whoever "we" is, they had become jealous.

Question: "You ain't a woofin'," means what exactly?
Answer: That you aren't kidding. In the book Johnny asks Ponyboy "Ain't you about to freeze to death, Pony?", and Ponyboy responds by saying, "You ain't a woofin."
